My Best Friends Wedding (1997)
Sorry, i had been out on a vacation and a vacation hangover so had no time to share my views about the movies i watched, now i'm back
The moment i heard the title from my friend, it reminded me of another movie, " My Big Fat Greek Wedding" and i expected to be humorous.I was definitely not disappointed. it was a kind of a movie which i would like to watch all the time. Humor, Twists n turns in the story, and ofcourse twist in the end. Hearing about Julia Roberts and her fame through the movie "Pretty Woman" was an another plus point for me to watch this movie.Julia Roberts plays the role as Julianne an independent food critic.Michael and Julianne are good friends and Michael calls Julianne to inform her about his wedding and that is when u start laughing, and it woudn stop till u completely watch the movie. that is the time, Julianne realizes she that she wants him for her self but he's going to get married in 4 days.Cameron Diaz plays a very beautiful role as Kimberley wallace [Kim] the girl Michael is about to marry.. As i was watching this movie wit my friend a movie buff and an automobile freak. we concluded tat we're not going to marry a girl who drives the car like the way Cameron Diaz Rides the car in that. Kim makes Julianne the maid of honor n calls her best friend, where as Julianne is there planning to stop the movie.Julianne tries all kind of tricks n weird ideas to stop the marriage where in u start expecting Julianne to marry Michael at last. But there comes the twist when George [Rupert Everette]comes into the scene whom i felt played the best humorous role in that movie he plays the role of Julianne's friend and the one who tolerate the blah blah blah of Julianne, the comedy performance of him is appreciable. The ways in which Julianne tries to get Michael makes u curious to know what next and every twist in the story turns out to be funny.The musical score is good and this movie can be accepted as a musical romantic comedy.i cant stop talking about the role of Rupert, u will definitely know if you have watched the movie or about to watch it.
This movie was a movie which made people remember Julia Roberts glory in "Pretty woman" and proved that she plays her role ass the best that we cant even think of someone else playing her role, The movie was nominated for numerous awards where Rupert Everett was in the list of more than half of the. this movie also won him an American Comedy Award for the funniest supporting actor in a motio picture. was nominated for Golden Globe Awards For :

There is something unique in this movie that makes me feel like watching the movie again, Watch it to know it..........
