Vaaranam Aayiram [2008]

Little did i know about movies which would make an impression n create an interest and make u feel like watchin the whole movie over n over again, this is one of it, i was annoyed my classmates who used to sing those songs so pathetically tat i dint feel like watchin this movie :-P (jus kiddin, hope my fella readers dont complain about this to them, infact the lyrics were so good tat i wanted to watch the movie, was waiting for the dvd release ;-) ) Just one more reason that it was directed by Goutham v Menon  (had previously watched his movies, I personally like his movies n his style of movie making) Moment i found out this movie was directed by him, i picked up immediately.I wasn disappointed..

This is one movie which can make u feel confident that u are watching a worthy movie, as i've watched almost every movie of his direction, has a brilliant and unique way of crafting a movie. the casting is perfectly suitable unlike many other movies which have a wrong casting that the audience feel that this particular role of the character could have been better performed by some other actor/actress. the dual role of surya as father and the son is so amazing, makes me wonder why it doesn happen like that in real life! the ending of the movie gave me a bit of a hint about this movie being Gautham Menon's Own story, Got Confirmed after reading about it now, its inspiring me to write my own story n make a film!(come on, everybody's story can be a blockbuster movie!!All u need to do is to make it a film!)i cant give another comment about the story as it seems flawless to me. The Movie Reminded me of Forest Gump, my intuition was not wrong, his film was inspired by Forest Gump (but both different in their own ways) the story flows similar to it..n bring the character surya to the present time. Man! how did i forget to mention about the music!! Amazing and romantic lyrics and of course guitar too! too much about it eh? we'll i mean it.. each n every song is different in all terms, expressing different emotions, n Harris Jayaraj, has still kept up his standards of makin better music direction.

Movie was appreciated well,the awards it won, says all!!!

* Won 19 out of 32 awards which it was nominated in 2008.
* This includes National award for best feature film in Tamil, film fare south, for best actor, music director,best playback singer etc.,
* Best International Tamil Film Award too..

the second movie of Gautham Menon - Surya duo, as good as tehir previous film Kaakha kaakha (2004) Stared with different actors n actress, different titles n lot of changes, and panic too..!!( the reels of many shots taken in singapore worth $500,000!! went missing in the hotel!, thanks to the singapore police)

I just cant say it was the best movie ever i've seen, but it was definitely memorable movie, watch it, u might find it interesting too...!!!
